During a recent trip to Denver, I embarked on a nostalgic journey to Cheyenne, a destination I had not visited since 1992. Upon arriving at T-Joe’s, my son and I were warmly greeted by the host, who immediately recognized my New Jersey accent–a delightful coincidence, as she too hailed from the Garden State.
The menu presented an array of tempting choices, making it difficult to select just one entrée. Ultimately, my son and I opted for the ribeye steak, accompanied by a choice of soup or salad and a side dish. I selected the soup and chose mashed potatoes with bacon and gravy to complement the meal.
When our steaks arrived, they were cooked to perfection, and we both agreed that they ranked among the most flavorful we had ever enjoyed. The attentive staff and welcoming locals further enhanced the experience, providing us with valuable insights into Wyoming’s capital, and their “boy done good” New York Mets Outfielder Brandon Nimmo.
Did you know Wyoming is one of three states that do not offer high school baseball? Nimmo was discovered playing American Legion Baseball and other events, making him the highest drafted Wyomingite in the history of the MLB Draft.

To our pleasant surprise, the evening concluded with a complimentary slice of carrot cake, a thoughtful gesture that added a final touch to an exceptional dining experience.
The two-hour drive from Denver proved entirely worthwhile, and I would highly recommend T-Joe’s to anyone seeking outstanding cuisine and genuine hospitality. I look forward to the opportunity to return in the future.
